DESCRIPTION:You are hereby invited to the BEARS Club AGM / Presentations / New Season Celebration starting from 1pm on Saturday the 13th January 2018. These extravaganzas have proved very popular with over 50 guests attending the last few years. Due to a price increase at the previous venue (from $1100 to $1650)\, we decided to search for another site. We believe that the Station at Pyrmont (not railway station) 58a Bowman St Pyrmont will prove to be an excellent venue. And at a grand total of $0\, meaning this year’s AGM has no cover charge. \n“The Station” has a large outdoor grassed area with views over Pyrmont Bay. We will also have access to the area inside the venue where we can conduct the AGM and hold the Club Presentations. There is a copy of the menu below. As usual\, we want this to be family day. \n• There is metered street parking\, but a taxi means you can stay longer!\n• Public transport via 389 bus from QVB or circular quay\, or light rail from central\, taxi’s\, uber etc\n• 1pm – 8 pm\, Members\, partners\, kids and sponsors.\n• BYO drinks\, ice and plastic containers provided.\n• Nibblies available from 1pm\n• AGM @ 2 pm – Nominate on the day\, members only.\n• Trophy Presentations approx. 4.30 pm.\n• Meals as per menu below\n• Bottle shop located corner Bowman and Harris St\, pub located Harris and John St. See map below \nThis year just send an email to secretary@ozbearsracing.com or phone (0416576233) confirming your intention to attend by close of mail Wednesday 10th of January and let me how many you are bringing with you. These extravaganzas have proved very popular with over 50 guests attending the last few years. This year we are returning to the site of last year’s debauchery\, but we trying a different caterer. \n  \nOur Chief Event Organizer David Aboud has again booked the Clovellely Bowling Club for our festivities. David has also arranged the catering through a Brazilian BBQ specialist. Dave reckons it was a close shave securing their services! As usual\, we want this to be family day. \n\nIn Eastern Suburbs parking is difficult\, but there is some parking available at the club.\nThere is a bus service from the city\, also Taxi’s and UBER\n1pm – 9 pm\, Members\, partners\, kids and sponsors.\nDrinks available over the bar at club prices.\nNibblies available from 1pm\nAGM @ 2 pm – Nominate on the day\, members only.\nTrophy Presentations approx. 4.30 pm.\nPossible Barefoot Bowls session. No dogs allowed.\nTables and chairs provided – we’re in a club.\nMain meal at 6.30 pm (probably Amazonian feral pig or Anaconda fritters and smothered in Piranha jeus\, desert\, coffee\nchildren under 6 (free)\, 6-12 ($20)\, 13-18 ($30)\, members and partners ($40 each)\, non-members and partners ($50 each)\, sponsors (free of charge).\nIf you want to “bat on”\, a few of us are staying at the\n\nRoyal Hotel Randwick 02 93993006 or email royhotel@bigpond.net.au \nRSVP by close of mail Friday 1st of January.
