HISTORIC RACING AS IT SHOULD BE…!

Good Day,

If you were part of the early days of all historic racing in Australia you will have great memories of what it was about:  enthusiastic amateur racing, a strong feeling of community, a friendly welcoming atmosphere and some seriously good fun.

2016 marks the fortieth anniversary of the very first all historic bike and car meeting at Amaroo in Sydney and to celebrate this important occasion a committed team of organisers from the 1976 Amaroo meeting is working hard to recreate that memorable birth of our great sport.

Entries are open now and the organisers are already receiving enquiries from all around Australia, and they include some very notable historic bikes and cars.  CLICK HERE FOR SUPP REGS & ENTRY FORMS

The 40th Anniversary All Historic meeting will be totally focussed on the riders and drivers and their machines and the goal of creating a supportive and respectful atmosphere for everyone.

We are committed to providing competitors with:

  • Lower, more reasonable entry fees
  • Close enjoyable racing in divisional groups based on lap times
  • Comfortable enjoyable space and pace with smaller fields in ride day and regularity events
  • Free Dorian timers for anyone who needs one
  • No protests
  • A warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere
  • The best officials in Australia
  • Respect for all, respect for the machines and respect for the past

If you would like to be part of this exciting initiative please complete the attached entry now; but don’t delay – entries are limited and there is already much interest in this event.

And, don’t forget to spread the word to friends and family and help promote the event as far and wide as possible.  The poster included with this letter can be displayed and more copies are available by contacting the Wakefield Park Raceway office (02) 4822 2811.

Finally, it is hoped that this all historic meeting at Wakefield Park will be the start of a renaissance of historic racing and will pave the way for more rider and driver-focussed events.  But we need to have plenty of bikes, cars, competitors and spectators to make this happen so generate as much support as you can!

See you in September!

Regards,

The Organising Committee
