BEARS BEARS is an acronym for British, European, American, Racer series. The BEARS AUSTRALIA MOTORCYCLE RACING CLUB INC. is the sole authority that determines BEARS eligibility and classification in Australia. Motorcycles must come from an acknowledged British, European, Australian (or New Zealand) manufacturer. i.e. no Jappa's. NB. These classifications are a guide only. PRODUCTION BEARS RULES Are you and your bike elgible to score points in the Production BEARS class. Find out through the link above? If you are, please ensure that the Production Class Convener Malcolm Cherlin is aware that you are competing in this series. You can reach Malcolm on 0404 002 427. BRIDGESTONE TYRE RULE All competitors who have 17” wheels will be required to use Bridgestone tyres to score points in the 2007 WRP-Bridgestone National BEARS Series.  Competitors who have 18” wheels are not required to use Bridgestone tyres. Non-Bridgestone shod machines will be permitted to compete, and will be eligible to score points and win trophies on the day but they will not accrue those points towards the WRP-Bridgestone National BEARS Series. For the purpose of Scoring the WRP-Bridgestone National BEARS Series, any Non-Bridgestone competitor will not be included in the finishing positions used to score the points. Bridgestone tyres can be obtained from Craig White at Whites racing products, details here. FUEL All fuel to be used as per GCR's. 4v  = four valve cylinder heads. 2v = two valve cylinder heads.

FORMULA 2 (tyre choice open)

APRILIA Tuona; BMW R1200S, K1200R (C & D), HP2; BUELL 1200 Lightning, Cyclone (A & B), XB12R, XB12S; CAGIVA Raptor 1000; DUCATI (2 valve) 944cc – 1100cc, ST3, (4 valve) 748 (A,B & C grade), 749, 848, 851, 888, 916cc, S4, S4R, S4RS; KTM 990 (C & D), 950; MOTO GUZZI (4 valve) 1000-1200; BIMOTA, MACINTOSH, SPONDON, EGLI, HARRIS, MOTOPLAST, MOTO MARTIN, etc. (10 or more years old); MV AGUSTA F4 & Brutale 750; TRIUMPH Daytona 650 - 675, Speed Triple & Sprint over 900cc, 675 street triple (A&B); VEE TWO Squalo;

BEARS NATIONAL TWINS

All twin cylinder machines in F1 and F2 are automatically entered in National Twins. Trophy’s presented at end of season.

FORMULA 3 (tyre choice open)

APRILIA Shiver, RS250, RXV/SXV 550; BIMOTA DB1; BMW F800, R850-R1200, K100-K1200; BUELL 1200 Lightning, Cyclone (C & D), XB9R, XB9S; CAGIVA Raptor 650; DUCATI (2 valve) 750-904cc, 4 valve 748 (D Grade only); MOTO  GUZZI (2 valve) 1000-1200; SINGLE CYLINDER 2 & 4 stroke in modified/GP type frames. Eg. Husqvarna, KTM, MuZ, TRICK; TRIUMPH 750-885cc, Trophy, 675 street triple (C&D); HARRIS/BIMOTA 2 stroke;

FORMULA 4-HERITAGE (tyre choice open)

Motor Design - Pre 1980, including head and crankcases; Motor Manufacture can be after 1980; Frame - tubular steel; Final Drive - chain = twin shock, shaft = single or twin shock; Front Forks - no USD forks; Wheels - 18" minimum diameter; e.g. BULTACO; BMW boxer R60 - R100 (4 valve heads may be fitted); DUCATI, all Bevel drives, Pantah; HARLEY DAVIDSON 883-1200, XR750 -1000; LAVERDA SFC 750, Jota, RGS; MOTO GUZZI Mk1-Mk5; SINGLE CYLINDER - BSA, Norton, Velocette etc; TRIUMPH Bonneville, Trident, Thruxton;

FORMULA 5 - CLUBMAN (C and D grade riders - treaded street tyres only)

SINGLE CYLINDER – APRILIA; BIMOTA; BMW; CAGIVA; GAS GAS; GILERA; HUSABERG; HUSQVARNA; KTM up to 691cc; MuZ; RICCI; TM; TRICK; VOR; _NB - There are no development restrictions on single cylinder machinery. TWIN CYLINDER - APRILIA RXV/SXV 450; BMW R850; DUCATI Pantah (up to 750cc), 600SS, 600M (up to 705cc, no EFI models), 620i, 620 Sport, M695,  M696; TRIUMPH Bonneville, Speedmaster (new) etc;
